Felled by globalization,the internationalization of higher education inCanadais happening at a rapid pace. Canadian universities engage in a range of internationalization activities,including international partnership, student mobility, and international research collaboration. Many universities identify internationalization as one of their top priorities. Another manifestation of internationalization is the increasing enrolment of international students in Canadian institutions, which placesCanadaas the world’s 7th most popular destination for international students. Despite an increased use of internationalization in describing the international dimension of education, there has been a great deal of confusion about what it really means and the rationale behind it. This presentation will discuss the emerging challenges and opportunities concerning internationalization of higher education inCanadawith a focus on student's perspectives.
